Jason Thomas Reviews Rough Daytona Track & Results

Daytona is the toughest race
of the year. No one will deny that. This year was no different.
It was really rough, as always and the race is 10-15 minutes longer than
a typical main event. My qualifier didn't go as well as I planned but I
qualified nonetheless. Going into the main event I just wanted to keep a
steady fast pace that I could maintain for 20 laps. I didn't get such a
great start so I had to make a few passes in the early laps. Once I got
settled in I just tried to ride mistake free. I could see my teammate Lamson
up ahead of me for most of the race but I couldn't make up the time to catch
him. I ended up 14th. I wasn't overjoyed but it was acceptable.
I am looking forward to trying to improve on that in Minneapolis next
weekend.
