Jason Thomas Minneapolis SX Pre-Race Interview

VRM:
VRM:
What have been doing for bike set up for the Minneapolis
Supercross?
Jason Thomas:
Haven’t changed anything, just more seat time to get my
speed up because of all the changes we did for Daytona. Now the bike is set back up to our Normal
Supercross settings. I’m glad to back
indoors!
VRM:
Do you prefer the hardpack Supercross track verses the
sand of Daytona?
Jason Thomas:
Ya, Um, I don’t like the California dirt because it’s so
hard. I prefer the soft dirt. This weekend is softer but not quite as
soft as Atlanta. I think this dirt
will be good for me and I’ll be able to ride well on it.
VRM:
What section of the track do you think will be the
toughest?
Jason Thomas:
Only one set of whoops and they’re quite small right
now. Whoops are usually my weakest
point so it really depends on how large they make them.
VRM:
Do you typically get on the top of whoops and blitz them
or double or triple them?
Jason Thomas:
The ideal way is to blitz them but it really depends how
they form during the race. Often ruts
and chunked out sections make you alter your attack method.
VRM:
Jason thanks for your time.
Jason Thomas:
No problem, anytime for VRM.
